Mark Hurd

CEO, Oracle Corporation

Mark Hurd is CEO of Oracle Corporation and a member of Oracle’s board of directors. . At Oracle OpenWorld, an annual enterprise technology conference drawing over 60,000 attendees and millions of online viewers, Hurd gives a keynote address and is known for his predictions on the future of enterprise cloud technology. He has been recognized for his business leadership by publications such as Fortune and the San Francisco Chronicle. Mark is also a published author, sharing his business acumen in his co-authored book The Value Factor. As a graduate of Baylor University, Mark serves on the Baylor Board of Regents and is also an active supporter of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and has been instrumental in the creation of the Oracle/ITA Masters tournament.

Jerry Cuomo

IBM Fellow, Vice President, Blockchain Technology, IBM

Jerry Cuomo has pioneered emerging technology projects in the areas of blockchain, API economy, mobile computing, cloud computing, web application servers, integration software, Java, and instant messaging software, filling 60+ U.S. patents. Today, Jerry is leading IBM’s blockchain strategy and offerings. Jerry and team have illustrated how blockchain can revolutionize business and redefine companies and economies. In March 2016 and February 2018, the U.S. government called upon Jerry as an expert witness to testify to U.S. Energy and Commerce Committee on Digital Currency and Blockchain, where he urged the administration to adopt blockchain as a primary means to protect citizen identity and to enhance national security.

John Donovan

CEO, AT&T Communications

John Donovan is CEO of AT&T Communications and is responsible for the bulk of AT&T’s global telecommunications and U.S. video services businesses, including its Business, Mobility and Entertainment, and Technology & Operations groups. Previously, he served as chief strategy officer and group president – AT&T Technology and Operations. In that role, he led strategic planning for the company overall. He also led the company’s networks and technologies team, which has driven AT&T’s global leadership in the transition to software-defined networking – with a focus on virtualized or cloud-based network controls – as well as the company’s leadership in the move to 5G networks. Since joining the company in 2008, Donovan has played a role in significantly expanding its innovation program. AT&T is now recognized as an industry leader in working with application developers and others to make AT&T’s network open to collaboration and innovation. He was previously executive vice president of product, sales, marketing and operations at VeriSign Inc., an internet infrastructure company.

Jeremy Gutsche

CEO of Trend Hunter AI and bestselling author

Jason Kelley

General Manager, Blockchain Services, IBM

Jason Kelley leads IBM Global Blockchain Services, working with client organizations and consortia to unleash the exponential business value of blockchain technologies and reinvented business process. His teams provide the thought leadership and consultative capabilities needed to help design, develop and rapidly adopt digital ledgers, digital identity, and trust and transparency with IBM blockchain offerings and solutions. Prior to his current role, Jason led IBM Global Business Services Solutions, Design and Innovation, helping clients transform to differentiate and lead in the market through digital reinvention. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Jason also earned an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, with a concentration in technology and entrepreneurship. Jason contributes to IBM’s ongoing leadership in patents as the holder of three U.S. patents, with others pending.

Joseph Lubin

Founder of Consensus Systems (ConsenSys) and co-founder of Ethereum

Joseph Lubin is a co-founder of blockchain computing platform Ethereum and the founder of Consensus Systems (ConsenSys), a blockchain venture studio. Lubin graduated from Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He worked in the Princeton Robotics Lab, at tomandandy music developing an autonomous music composition tool, and at private research firm Vision Applications Inc. Lubin worked with eMagine on the Identrus project, was Director of the New York office of Blacksmith Software Consulting, and VP of Technology in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs. Lubin co-founded the Ethereum Project and has been working on Ethereum and ConsenSys since January 2014.

Beth Mooney

Chairman and CEO, KeyCorp

Beth Mooney has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KeyCorp since May 1, 2011. In 2010, she was named President and became a member of KeyCorp’s Board of Directors. Mooney, who joined KeyCorp in April 2006 as Vice Chair, Key Community Bank, has over 35 years of experience in retail banking, commercial lending and real estate financing. Prior to KeyCorp, Mooney was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Alabama-based AmSouth Bancorporation (now Regions Financial Corporation), where she ran its banking operations in Tennessee and Northern Louisiana. Her banking career included roles of increasing responsibility at Bank One Corporation, Citicorp Real Estate, Inc., Hall Financial Group and Republic Bank of Texas/First Republic. At Bank One, she served as Regional President in Akron and Dayton, and then as President of Bank One Ohio, managing major markets throughout the state. She has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” and by Fortune Magazine as one of the Top 50 “Most Powerful Women in Business.”

Larry Sanger

Co-Founder of Wikipedia and Chief Information Officer of Everipedia

Larry Sanger is an internet project developer who co-founded Wikipedia along with Jimmy Wales. After leaving Wikipedia, he launched several internet projects of his own including Citizendium and Reading Bear. A trained philosopher with a focus on epistemology (the study of knowledge), Sanger has been involved with various online encyclopedia projects. Born as the son of a marine biologist, Sanger developed an early interest in philosophy and proceeded to study the subject from Reed College and later completed his doctorate in the same field from The Ohio State University. Sanger has also taught philosophy at The Ohio State University.

Nick Szabo

Inventor of Smart Contracts and Bit Gold

Nick Szabo, who is considered a pioneer in the world of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, developed the phrase and concept of "smart contracts" with the goal of bringing what he calls the "highly evolved" practices of contract law and practice to the design of electronic commerce protocols between strangers on the Internet. He will be speaking about smart contracts and how those can be used with blockchain technology to revolutionize the way business is done. A computer scientist, legal scholar and cryptographer, Szabo invented Bit Gold and laid the foundation for the creation of Bitcoin. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1989 with a degree in computer science and earned a JD from George Washington University Law School.

Alex Tapscott

Author, Blockchain Revolution and Co-founder of Blockchain Research Institute

Alex Tapscott is a globally-recognized writer, speaker, investor and advisor focused on the impact of emerging technologies, such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies, on business, society and government. He is the co-author (with Don Tapscott) of the critically acclaimed non-fiction best-seller, Blockchain Revolution: How the Technology Behind Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies is Changing the World, which has been translated into 16 languages. His TedX San Francisco talk, Blockchain is Eating Wall Street, has been viewed 600,000+ times. In 2017, Alex co-founded (with Don Tapscott) the Blockchain Research Institute, a multi-million-dollar think-tank that is investigating blockchain strategies, opportunities and use-cases. In November 2017, Alex and Don Tapscott were recognized with the Digital Thinking Award from Thinkers50, as part of their Distinguished Achievement Awards. Alex is a graduate of Amherst College (cum laude). He lives in Toronto, Canada.
